Trinity has its roots in the old Carlyle Lutheran Church, which was established on July 15, 1916. People in Wibaux were served through this parish until Trinity was established on January 4, 1939. The congregation met in an Episcopal church and they were served by the pastor from First Lutheran of Beach as well as pastors from other communities until July 1, 1953, when Rev. Loyal E.
